Question #3

Picture from: http://www.holocaustsearchproject.org/

This is a picture of the Auschwitz concentration camp. Elie and his father stayed at this camp. It was an absolute horrible place. I feel bad for all of the Jews that had to stay here. It was nothing but a pure death and torture camp. It is a very large place with a lot of buildings. This reminds me of when Elie and his father first arrived at the camp. They were overwelmed at its size. It is a lot larger than I imaged a death camp being. It is made up of a lot of gas chambers. It makes me sad to look at this picture to know that so many Jews died here and were tortured.

Question #2

Picture from: www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org

This picture shows some of the children that survived the Holocaust. They are very fortunate to have survived. So many children died during that horrible time. It would have been a gift to live. I am very happy that there were some survivers. I hope that the survivers had a great life after having to endure the torture of the Holocaust. This scene reminds me of when all the children were to the point where they were about to starve to death. I feel so bad for them. I can not image the pain that they must have been going through. I would be absolutely terrible to be starving. I know that they would probably do anything for just a crumb of food.

Question #1

This picture shows the hatred of Jews. It shows this young Jewish boy being stared at by the guards of the prison. They are just staring at him like he is nothing. They do not care at all about him or what happens to him. This is very sad. I feel sorry for the young boy. He has to be sperated from everyone that he knows. He must miss his parents. This is memorable because it is very sad. It shows how Jews were seperated and treated like they are nothing. It represents the Holocaust.
